This document sets out the rules, values, and objectives of the Unnamed Council. Guild members are required to read and abide by the Charter.
Section 1. Guild Objectives - Our Three Primary Aims
Provide an Unmatched Community
The Unnamed Council serves first and foremost as a home for all friendly players interested in exploring Hex together. We aim to provide a mature, relaxed and proactive community where you can game with like minded people. The Guild will always function via majority democracy and we value our member's ideas and opinions in all areas.
Master the Art of PvE
We want to help you delve into every dungeon, discover every secret, and acquire the rarest treasures of Entrath. We want to explore, analyse and share with you the infinite possibilities of deck-building within our forums. We will do our best to help support you via Guild resources, infrastructure and opportunities in pursuit of this aim.
Most of all we want our members to savor the experience of playing Hex in good company. It's our goal to provide relaxed yet organized gameplay which always tips Fate’s hand in your favor. We also aim to provide regular events, competitions and tournaments with exclusive prizes for our members. We appoint proactive community officers to help us out with this aim.
Section 2. Our Values - Respect, Calm, Duty
The Unnamed Council strives to cultivate a relaxed and mature atmosphere for our members, both in-game and outside of it. To that end we expect our members to always conduct themselves in line with our core Guild values, especially when interacting with other Guilds and Hex players whilst wearing our tag.
Be respectful of others. Though you may differ in opinion you should respect other people's right to hold a view different from your own. Be tactful when pointing out other people's mistakes and errors. Lowering yourself by displays of immaturity and petty behavior will only reflect poorly on you.
Be patient and calm with all players. We are not a cut-throat PvP guild, nor a PvE sweatshop. Relax and enjoy dungeon crawling with your guildmates and others. Take part in PvP in a polite, calm or at least mysteriously aloof manner. Let immature players earn the disdain of their peers without drawing you down to their level.
Our community is based on a mutual sense of responsibility. We are committed to learn from and teach each other to be better players and better gaming partners. We each understand our obligations to the Council, our guild-mates, and the mysteries of the game itself.
Section 3. Initiate Expectations
We expect new members to post an introduction thread in the Initiate Hall forum within two weeks of having registered with the Guild. Failure to do so will result in your application being revoked, meaning you will have to reapply.
In addition, Initiate Accounts that have been inactive for more than ten weeks will be removed.
As an Initiate you are a trial member of the Guild. You will have access to the Guild forums and are of course welcome to game with us. However access to Guild resources, events & special support may be limited until you become a full member.
Full Acolyte membership will be granted upon gaining a set amount of endorsements from our members. As you interact with the community they will slowly upvote you towards full membership. A full explanation of this process and additional Ground Rules can be found within our forums upon registering.
Please note that there are no activity requirements for full members. Once you have earned Acolyte status you are in. The above covers trial Initiate members only.
Section 4. Official Guild Rules
These are the terms of the Council. Breaking the rules will lead to a warning, acquire three warnings and you will face either temporary or permanent exclusion.
No flaming/trolling. Argue a point all you like. Don't make it personal.
No unauthorized advertisement.
No excessive swearing. Recognize that you are in a public space. Repeated swearing isn't necessary to get your point across.
No spamming. You only need to post a message once. We understand multiple posts happen occasionally. If you must reference another thread use a link or short quotations; please exercise restraint.
No Obscenity - i.e., "naughty" pictures, links to pornographic websites, etc. Do not, under any circumstances, post anything related to or including XXX pictures, links to pornographic websites, or other offensive materials. This includes VISUAL representations of profanity as well.
Do not use derogatory or racist terms. We do not tolerate racial epithets, defamation of sexual preference, gender, or discrimination of any sort. Offenders will be subject to the full extent of Council's wrath.
Moral Threads. You are welcome to talk about anything (barring banned material) in the Off Topic section. You should still attempt to keep your threads clean and controlled. Overzealous or aggressive threads concerning politics, religion, and/or moral & ethical debates will simply be locked off.
Conduct. You are a representative of the Unnamed Council to the entire Hex community. Those who commit severe misconduct against others or bring ill renown to us will be subject to review & possible expulsion.
Warnings. We operate on a three strikes policy. You'll get two warnings and then you will get no warning and be expelled. We reserve the right to immediately expel a member for taking extreme actions against the spirit of our values and regulations.
Bans. There are no lifetime bans from the guild but don’t hold your breath.
Closed threads will have an explanation as to why they were closed. If a thread has been closed then the public discussion is over and no more threads on that subject should be created.
No trading or selling outside of the designated trade areas.
Selling Conduct. Reverse Bulling, where people try to guilt/con people into a selling a card for much less then it's value is against conduct rules and will be addressed severely.
Monetary Transactions. Trading items or cards for money is permitted but not encouraged. We urge members to never give out any financial information to people you do not know. By using the forums and this website you agree that the Guild as an entity, it's individual staff and the owner of this website will not be held responsible for any personal losses incurred resulting from a transaction or deal negotiated within these forums.
No begging. If your request is refused then consider the matter closed.
Signatures. The forum allows sigs and we encourage people to be creative. However admin reserve the right to edit any signature we deem inappropriate. Additionally, if you choose to use imagery please limit this to ONE image, not larger than 450x150 pixels. Any larger signatures will be removed and you will be politely notified. We have these size limits in place as larger sigs break the site for our mobile and tablet users.
Awards & Accolades: There will be awards available to members that meet certain criteria. If you think you meet one of these criteria and have not received an indication of that status in a timely manner contact a Patron or Council Member.
There is no financial commitment required to participate in our guild. We do not require money or in game items to be given to any member or group. If you would like to donate any materials to the Unnamed Council that option is entirely voluntary and there will never be a penalty for refusal.
Enjoy your time with the Guild and ensure the stay of others is enjoyable too.
