If it were a bubble, I'd agree. And it *should* just be a bubble. But here, weeks before the 5th anniversary and everything that did or didn't happen in that time, I think this will be inflated and serve as the pebble that starts the flood.
all though i personally fell out of love with the game 6 months ago and move to tabletop games i feel the current state is a bubble and will clear. Cory will make a statement they need to deal with the toxic forums. I blame the discord
I was never planning on cashing out; I made my peace with everything I spent along the way. But yeah, the show is coming (happening), and it looks like the end result of our PvE waitlist is just front-row seats. We might get wet.
Also deleted: Every thread that mentions the debacle since. If Cory's statement ends up being pure poetic gold, I can still say that HXE's censorship policy shows a baffling preference toward escalating PR crises and a sad disregard for the base.
Damn, the main forums have taken some dark turns in recent weeks. Baffling dev moves and comm blackouts have pulled the gloves off of "the best community in gaming". Popcorn and fire-sale hysteria, anyone? Remember to duck.
i blame ps4. everything is failing because they're trying to tune it to extract money from console players instead of just making a place to play with our cards. why collect anything if the only modes are going to be randomly generated or standard?
I'm also sorta here. I gave HEX a second chance, fell into old habits spending too much for nothing, and dumped it again. I doubt I'll be back. But I dig TUC, so I keep hanging out. One day, we'll have something to talk about again
You seem to have the rather optimistic view that raids actually will land at some point. I am a little more skeptical of that. Heck, I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever actually get max level in campaign. Heck, I'm wondering if we'll ever get AV3!
Some people will be pissed but now everyone has even value none has a benift later on when raids land like raid leader and a lot of new players wont feel like second class players. Its a messy solution but I'm sure it is the best one.
Honestly i have said it before and i will say it again they should roll the pro reward into every tier nullify the unfair advantage bonuses of the other tiers and let people use the draft ticket either in draft and evo.
Early CAAs were trading high because people still believed it was feasible to own everything, and the greatness of a card was easier to realize in a small pool. Now, CAAs are a drop in an endless sea of AAs, so people don't care enough to shell out.
Hm, must have been shared in Shoutbox at some point. Since Shoutbox is technically public, not an ideal place. I'll link the Discord in a brand new Forum post when I have the time and am at home. Unless someone else beats me to it.
Speaking of Pathfinder, if anyone has any interest in the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, let me know. With time, I might be able to set up something, possibly a play-by-forum or a Tabletop Simulator adventure.
We do have a Discord, and I strongly recommend more people use it! There's a link in our forums to join, but I can repost it on request. Discord can be used from mobile devices, browsers, desktop, anything!
-core archetype is still kneecapped by the very, very low quality of Fateweave commons in Dead of Winter. Fateweaving a lot is easy; actually getting meaningful value that will outpace a Furiko deck or Candlekin deck is another, which both lean on-
The D/W 'theme' of Fateweave, for example, is so incredibly weak in DoW cards, which instead are weighted so much more towards Verdicts and Momentum. Whilst there are synergies there, even with large quantities of powerful Fateweave uncommons+, the -
-that instead risks (or outright causes) an instant game loss. Like NOT killing the Banshee by using a certain Vial effect that's about to wipe the board against Demon Door, who will do 10 damage to us (on 6 health) when he has no creatures!
I literally don't understand. Some of my allies even have valuable cards which indicates a lot of time or money dropped on the game, yet even when I mark/flash plays that will progress us to winning they will still intentionally take an action -
Cottontail Recruiter fix? Check! Set 9 drops next week, and with it the first hint of crafting with the Fusion mechanic. Plus, Cat's PvE walkthrough is full of goodies. All in all, I'm a happy HEXer for the first time in a while. Feels good
But. It does allow for some cross-class synergies, and it makes the bosses harder by massively slowing down your effective resource gain relative to the board. To be fair, the AI doesn't use a typical 'hand' as such in Fable Fortune, from what I can-
Hence why I said 'not really a strong strategy'. Besides, a 7/7 invincible should alone do a lot to better your chances of winning, and Locket should have paid off by turn 7 sufficiently in a proper deck.
