Speaking of Pathfinder, if anyone has any interest in the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, let me know. With time, I might be able to set up something, possibly a play-by-forum or a Tabletop Simulator adventure.
We do have a Discord, and I strongly recommend more people use it! There's a link in our forums to join, but I can repost it on request. Discord can be used from mobile devices, browsers, desktop, anything!
-core archetype is still kneecapped by the very, very low quality of Fateweave commons in Dead of Winter. Fateweaving a lot is easy; actually getting meaningful value that will outpace a Furiko deck or Candlekin deck is another, which both lean on-
The D/W 'theme' of Fateweave, for example, is so incredibly weak in DoW cards, which instead are weighted so much more towards Verdicts and Momentum. Whilst there are synergies there, even with large quantities of powerful Fateweave uncommons+, the -
-that instead risks (or outright causes) an instant game loss. Like NOT killing the Banshee by using a certain Vial effect that's about to wipe the board against Demon Door, who will do 10 damage to us (on 6 health) when he has no creatures!
I literally don't understand. Some of my allies even have valuable cards which indicates a lot of time or money dropped on the game, yet even when I mark/flash plays that will progress us to winning they will still intentionally take an action -
Cottontail Recruiter fix? Check! Set 9 drops next week, and with it the first hint of crafting with the Fusion mechanic. Plus, Cat's PvE walkthrough is full of goodies. All in all, I'm a happy HEXer for the first time in a while. Feels good
But. It does allow for some cross-class synergies, and it makes the bosses harder by massively slowing down your effective resource gain relative to the board. To be fair, the AI doesn't use a typical 'hand' as such in Fable Fortune, from what I can-
Hence why I said 'not really a strong strategy'. Besides, a 7/7 invincible should alone do a lot to better your chances of winning, and Locket should have paid off by turn 7 sufficiently in a proper deck.
Wait, I just realised that that Eternal Curator doesn't specify non-resources! Is that intentional? In some cases, that can wipe out a LOT of cards, and significantly change the statistics on what players will be drawing!
Not really a particularly strong strategy, but a nice interaction: If you have Locket of Reflection in play, then playing Eternal Curator guarantees that any remaining cards in your hand will trigger it.
Anyone play Fable Fortunes? By dCCG standards, it's pretty bare bones right now, and painfully slow... but it has some merit, and I'd like to try more of the Co-Op when the next boss is released with someone I can actually strategise with.
I've also posted my first-impressions on the spoiled mechanics and champions. Of particular note (for drafters): Thk’tatcha seems like a brutally powerful champion, and I did a write up of Tashi One-Horns "random 1/1 troop" power and its outcomes.
So for months the Spoiler tags in TUC's forums seem to be acting up slightly, Specifically, auto-generating them via the forum UI duplicates your text. Where should I report this for the best response?
As an aside, Bloodleech Apocalyte would be a fine blood common in most sets even without Fusion. With fusion, I'm a little worried it might get kind of absurd, but Fusion will require you to spend multiple picks (and presumably colors) for a single -
Our first true prismatic-themed set. Some of which, in MTG, hold many players' fondest memories (see: Alara). I hope the community can keep up with the hype, because the initial spoiler set is VERY strong, with a sensible custom drafting approach.
so they've accidentally created the best PVE format in the game with practice mode. you can play with whatever cards you want without worrying about whether they're "good enough" to beat some unbalanced opponent.
Big week for Grey's little gaming universe. Stellaris DLC, Grim Dawn content patch, and some rad new Jurassic Park pinball sims. 3/6 of my games expanded in a week! I also hear HEX has something new dropping tomorrow
Im missing the Love Triangle equipment from event, and more generally many recent equipment (and latest sets cards!). Anybody willing to trade / spare some from my wishlists available in my signatures please?
